Find context before loading the document
Outline CLI gives coding agents structured commands to search a knowledge base and read selected documents, attachments and comments. Compact summaries and IDs help the agent choose what to read before loading a full document.
In a development task, that supplies relevant product decisions and requirements. I defined requirements and operating instructions, reviewed agent-assisted changes and tested document workflows.
Make document changes intentional
Writes require explicit action intent. Safe patch commands check the expected document revision before making a change, and deletion requires a receipt from a prior read of that document.
These client-side checks support a read, preview and approved-write sequence. They do not replace permission to edit a document or guarantee that a concurrent server update cannot occur.
